The clients of our firm include large corporates in the sectors of energy, tourism, leisure and retail, private equity funds and high net worth individuals.
- Due diligence: examination of ownership status and encumbrances, investigation of applicable land planning regulations (building terms and permissible land uses) and of various legal constraints (environmental restrictions, protection of forests, archaeological sites, antiquities, buildings under special preservation regime, traditional sites, coastal areas, etc.).
- Examining licensing requirements, including building licenses, environmental terms approvals and all other permits that may be required within the scope of development of a project, depending on its type and specific characteristics of the area where it is developed.
- Negotiating and drafting of all types of relevant contracts, including management, lease and time-sharing agreements, regulations of relations between co-owners, construction contracts, sale and purchase agreements, either through asset or share deals.
- Within the scope of the on-going process of cadastral registration in Greece, performing cadastral surveys and representing our clients in connection with correction requests and appeals with regard to initial registrations and published cadastral data.
- Advising one of the major international players of the energy sector on completing the acquisition of a PV plan of a capacity of over 500 MW, one of the largest PV plants under development in Greece. Our work included a complex and very demanding land due diligence exercise as the area where the PV plant will be located consists of approximately 700 plots.
- Advising a German company active in the renewables sectors on securing the land rights over a plot in the North of Greece of approximately 700,000 sq.m. for the purpose of developing one of the biggest PV parks in Greece. Our firm’s work included performing DD of the plot (a very challenging exercise in view of the number of owners and the gaps and discrepancies of their titles) and sorting out all relates issues with the aim of entering into a long-lease agreement for the entire plot with all owners having rights over it.
- Advising a Greek company on the renovation, re-development and management of a tennis center within one of the biggest sports complexes in Athens. Our work included the negotiation and drafting of all relevant construction and management agreements and the issuance of all licenses that are necessary for the operation of the project.
- Advising the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund on several transactions for the monetization of state-owned properties.
- Advising one of the major international private investment firms in the management and exploitation of its NPL-originating asset portfolio.
